Call for contributions

The International Congress on Civil Engineering (CIIC) invites researchers, professionals, academics and students from around the world to participate in its call for contributions for the presentation of scientific articles. This is an opportunity to share research, technological advances and innovative proposals that address current and future challenges in the civil engineering sector. The papers will be evaluated based on their originality, methodological rigor, scientific relevance and/or practical application.

 

The conference will focus on the following main topics:

  1. Structures, seismicity, and materials

  2. Geotechnics, roads and transportation

  3. Water engineering and environmental sanitation

Instructions for sending contributions

  1. Format:
    Extended abstracts must be original and not have been presented at another event. They must follow the format established by the organizing committee, which can be downloaded from the following link: template.

  2. Extended abstract length:
    Papers must have a maximum of 500 words, not including references, figures and tables.

  3. Language:
    Extended abstracts may be submitted in Spanish or English.

  4. Review process:
    All extended abstracts will be subject to a review process by a specialized scientific committee.

  5. Key dates:

    • Deadline for submission of extended abstracts: November 26, 2024

    • Acceptance notification: November 27, 2024

  6. Presentation modalities:
    Accepted works will be presented orally, depending on the evaluation of the scientific committee. Oral presentations will last 20 minutes, followed by a question and answer session. You can download the presentation template here.

  7. Publication of articles:
    Selected abstracts will have the opportunity to be submitted as scientific articles to be considered for publication in the indexed journal Engineering Proceedings.

Submission of extended abstracts

The extended abstracts must be submitted to the conference site on the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (Microsoft CMT): https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CIIC2024
